The Dude abides! Wonky in what way? If you'll notice, most beard hair is very different from the hair on a man's head. I was going by a reference photo and I tried to be exact! Thank you!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THIS PIECE!
It's exactly one year old today on Newgrounds. Anyways, looks good. Like the shading on the dome.
Incredible!
Already told you in the forum, but thought I'd leave a review too.
This is just stunning.
The detail is impeccable, creative, and interesting!
The color is beautiful and accurate.
The accuracy is perfect.
There's nothing wrong with it!
Nice to see this from birth to finish.
Very good.
It manages to capture the realism and spirit of the a nimal without seeming like a soulless scientific realism drawing. And I don't know if the eyes were easy or hard in comparison, but you did wonderfully on them!
I like it!
Nice use of pattern to accentuate the negative space within the bubbles.
He looks nonplussed
I like it.
I knew it would be Nigel from the thumbnail!
This is really disturbing.
The eyes are small and scary and his small chest hair makes him seem child predatory.
That aside, it's probably what you were going for and this is a very good composition! The coloring/shading is wonderful. Did you use a special brush for the hair?
Awesome!
Nice linework!
Were you planning on inking/coloring it?
The only thing that seems a little off is the thorax seems a little off perspective.
Thanks:)
-Yes, maybe give it some shading.
I know what you mean about the thorax, it's just that it has to be more like a triangular shape. Maybe that explains the "off perspective"?
I too have Illustrator CS4
And I find it very frustrating.
Seeing something like this made with it is inspiring because it's so awesome and gives me hope that I could do something like this soon. Good perspective and coloring, I don't understand why he's happy that he dropped it though.
he's a bit crazy... lol
do try pathfinding, it'll help alot.
the shortcut for pathfinder is CTRL+SHIFT+F9
work hard n u can do better than me :D
Great!
Love the composition, the character, the neat little background pattern (how'd you do that?) Would look awesome in a comic book setting. Don't really see any problems with this. Maybe not put the "stroke" effect on your character within the comic book, but it works as a singular showcase of the character.
The background pattern was done using the half-tone effect in Photoshop.
The unattainable is unknown, here at my profile.
